Please follow a Paypal button on your site and see what the checkout page looks like. No business name? Then you need to convert your Paypal membership to a business membership.
If you are one of my clients who uses Paypal on your site, then your checkout page used to look fine, with a logo and the name of your business, because I customized it. But if you weren’t set up with a business account with Paypal, then they have since stripped all your business information off the checkout page, which is ridiculous, in my opinion. I can see why they would want you registered as a business, but I think that they should grandfather in all those who did everything right initially, including hiring a web designer to properly customize their checkout page! How strange that they would now allow checkout pages that don’t tell the buyer who they’re buying from!!
Enough ranting on my part… To get your business listed on the checkout page again, you need to follow these steps:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Profile icon next to “Log out.”
- Click Upgrade to a business account.
- Enter your business information and click Continue.
Once you have successfully upgraded to a business account, click on one of your Paypal buttons again. Does the checkout page have your business information now? It should. If not, or if you want to further customize the checkout window, you need to follow the steps on this page. You can call Paypal for help if you need it. I’m happy to help as well, but Paypal should walk you through it for free.
